* Pure VHF/UHF bunker activations now require only 5 contacts!
* A new "References in range" column has been added to the bunker list, where you can find WWFF, POTA, TOTA and SOTA references that can be activated together with the bunker.
* Automatic log synchronization with WWBOTA
From now on, every log uploaded to OKBOTA is automatically sent to WWBOTA.
You only need to upload your log to OKBOTA – synchronization is handled automatically.
OKBOTA remains the national platform for Czech awards and serial numbers, while WWBOTA ensures international scoring and visibility.
Further integration between both systems is ongoing.
* 16.1.2026 all logs received so far from okbota.cz were uploaded to the wwbota.net server.
* Added a few more bunkers, December 2025 update - check them out on the map with recently added filter
* International WW BOTA map has been added to the maps section - you can display it using the "WW mapa" button.
* Automatic generation of lifetime diplomas and diplomas from 2026 - diplomas are now generated automatically and are available in the Awards request section.

Welcome to the web page dedicated to new amateur radio activity in the Czech Republic. The aim of this program is to support the operation on the amateur radio bands by means of a system of awards that licensed radio amateurs can receive when establishing mutual contacts on HF/VHF/UHF bands and meeting the given conditions (see Rules section).
As with similar world activities with representation in the Czech Republic, e.g. POTA, SOTA, WWFF, it is not a contest, however, it is possible to receive diplomas and awards (certificates in PDF format) upon reaching a given number of activations (transmissions from a given location) or as "hunters", i.e. upon making a certain number of contacts with activators of given locations. Radio amateurs from the Czech Republic and from abroad alike can participate as activators and hunters. Participation of Short-Wave Listeners (SWL) is also possible under similar conditions as hunters (see Rules section).
For the selection of locations for activation, a list of current objects available is published on this web site as well as on wwbota.org that is always related to the system of bunkers and fortifications on the territory of the Czech Republic. These have a rich history in our country, are still abundantly represented and offer many opportunities to leave ham-shacks and operate portable. In the first phase, we concentrate mainly on the pre-World War II border fortification system, then we plan to expand to other fortifications throughout the territory, regardless of historical period.
OKBOTA is a member of the World Wide Bunkers On The Air award scheme (WWBOTA, see wwbota.org), where it represents the Czech Republic. The original idea was established in 2005 in the UK. In 2023 this activity was revived under the name UKBOTA (bunkersontheair.org), which was a kind of inspiration for us too.
We hope you enjoy OKBOTA activity and, if you have not already done so, will consider either activating or joining as a hunter. It takes a lot of resources, time and effort to create a related system in the Czech Republic. If you are interested in this activity and would like to volunteer, help us or support us in any way, you are certainly welcome. If you have any questions, please contact anyone from the coordination team via email at QRZ.com.
Thank you.
